What is OCAS?
“OCAS” stands for Ontario College Application Service.
What does OCAS do?
The OCAS is an application processing centre for undergraduate admissions to Ontario Colleges. The OCAS receives student applications, processes them and transfers the information to the colleges. The OCAS does not make admission decisions; that is the colleges’ responsibility.
Will my marks be sent directly to OUAC or OCAS?
Yes, Ontario Virtual School (OVS) will send your marks directly to OCAS.
How do I apply to OCAS?

When should I apply
As long as space remains in an Ontario college program, you may apply. However, there are some important dates to keep in mind, especially for popular programs that fill up quickly. See below for a list of the current year’s important dates.
Important Dates and Deadlines for Ontario College Applications (2021-2022)
The following dates apply to programs starting in the fall of 2022. The application process at ontariocolleges.ca follows an annual cycle, based on the academic year (August to July). For programs beginning at other times of the year, please contact the individual colleges for more information about application processing dates.
Early October 2021: Online Application Opens
In early October, access to the online college application becomes available for programs beginning in the following academic year (August to July). You may create an account and begin your application.
November 1, 2021: Earliest Confirmation Date
Earliest date the colleges may release offers to applicants. Offers will continue to be issued until programs are filled or wait lists are established.
NOTE: Applicants who have not met admission requirements for a program may be notified at any time during the application process.
November 19, 2021
Deadline for demographics, marks history, and current and projected registrations for the entire school year. OCAS requires marks history for all courses taken in grades 9, 10 and 11.
February 1, 2022: Equal Consideration Date
Apply on or before this date in order to receive equal consideration for admission to programs starting the following fall. After this date, colleges consider applicants on a first-come, first-served basis until programs are full.
Note that applications to Highly Competitive Programs must be received by this date in order to be considered. As these programs receive a high volume of applicants, all seats may be filled by February 1. Applicants are encouraged to complete their applications well before the Equal Consideration Date, as website volumes on the online application are at their highest at this time.
Many programs continue to accept applicants after February 1. Use the Find a Program tool at any time to find programs that are still open.
May 1, 2022: Deadline to Confirm Offers of Admission
The most common deadline for confirming offers of admission – but not the only one. Applicants should check their offers of admission for exact deadline dates. Log in to your ontariocolleges.ca account to confirm your offer.
June 1, 2022: Tuition Deposit Due at the Colleges
Earliest date that colleges may require payment of tuition fees. Each college sets its own tuition deposit amount and payment deadline. This information will be communicated to you by the college.
July 8, 2022
Target date for all final marks and proof of graduation, regardless of the scheduling model.
August 12, 2022
Deadline for all final marks and / or summer school final marks and proof of graduation.
